1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Nuj (“the Service”), operated by Upfire LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Nuj is a goal-tracking and accountability application that allows users to set personal goals, receive AI-generated action plans, track progress, join teams, participate in challenges, and build streaks. The Service is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) at nuj.bot.

3. Account & Phone Verification

You must provide a valid mobile phone number to create an account. We send a one-time passcode (OTP) via SMS to verify your identity. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and phone number.

4. SMS Messaging

Opt-in: By providing your mobile phone number during account registration and creating an account, you explicitly consent to receiving SMS messages from Nuj for the following purposes:

• Account verification (one-time passcodes for registration, login, and password changes)
• Optional goal reminders (Pro tier only, can be toggled in Settings)

Message frequency varies.You will receive OTP messages when registering, logging in, or changing your password. Pro tier users who enable goal reminders will receive 1–2 messages per goal near due dates. Message and data rates may apply.

Opt-out:You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for support. You can also disable SMS reminders in Settings → Notifications.

5. Free & Paid Tiers

The Service offers a free tier (up to 3 active goals, limited AI plan generations) and a paid Pro tier ($2.99/month or $24.99/year) with unlimited goals, AI plans, and SMS reminders. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any goals, notes, and data you create in Nuj. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

7. AI-Generated Content

Nuj uses OpenAI's GPT-4o model to generate action plans and suggestions. AI-generated content may not be accurate or appropriate for your situation. Use your own judgment when following any AI-suggested steps.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Abuse, harass, or threaten other users via teams or challenges
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service

9. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Upfire LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification or SMS. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
